There’s something about the coast that stays with you long after you leave; the rhythm of the waves, the softness of the colors, the way time seems to slow down just enough to let you breathe a little deeper. Gulf Breeze was born from those moments.
This collection is incredibly personal to me. It’s inspired by the seasons of life we spent by the water; watching my babies grow up with sandy toes, salty air, and sun-kissed cheeks. Those days were filled with simple joys: collecting seashells, listening to the waves roll in, and soaking in the beauty of a place that felt both peaceful and alive.
I wanted Gulf Breeze to capture that feeling; not in a literal or novelty way, but in a soft, timeless interpretation of coastal living. The palette reflects the gentle blues of the ocean, warm sandy neutrals, and delicate touches of coastal florals. Each print was thoughtfully designed to feel like a memory; subtle, layered, and full of meaning.
If you’d love to see the full story of the collection, including all of the prints and coordinating designs, you can explore the lookbook HERE.

Every motif in Gulf Breeze tells a piece of the story. From flowing textures that mimic the movement of water to delicate elements inspired by seashells and coastal blooms, each design was created to work beautifully on its own and as part of a larger story.
My goal with this collection was to create something versatile—fabrics that feel just as at home in a quilt as they do in garments, home decor, or keepsake projects. Whether you’re creating something for your home or stitching a gift for someone you love, I hope these fabrics bring a sense of calm and connection to your work.

To bring Gulf Breeze to life in an even more meaningful way, I had the joy of designing a coordinating Aurifil thread box to pair perfectly with the collection. Each color was thoughtfully selected to complement the soft coastal palette, making it easy to move from fabric to stitching without second guessing your thread choices. I included both 12 wt and 50 wt threads to give you a truly versatile experience—whether you’re adding beautiful hand quilting details, big stitch accents, or piecing your quilt top with precision. This box was designed with makers in mind, giving you everything you need to add depth, texture, and a polished finish to your projects.

As with each collection, I created a new quilt pattern to showcase Gulf Breeze, and Coastal Current truly captures the heart of it. Inspired by the gentle movement and rhythm of the sea, this design uses classic techniques like hourglass blocks, half square triangles, and flying geese to create a sense of flow across the quilt. The clean geometry allows the soft coastal palette to shine, making it a timeless pattern that feels both calming and dynamic—just like the ocean itself.

Coastal Current is available in both PDF and paper formats. If you’re a shop owner, I also offer wholesale options—making it easy to bring this pattern to your customers.

This next project is such a special one. I had the absolute joy of collaborating with Liza of Liza Taylor Handmade, and she truly brought this collection to life in a whole new way. Each foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern from the Gulf Breeze FPP Bundle was thoughtfully designed by Liza, using my original hand-drawn artwork from the Gulf Breeze collection as her inspiration.

Seeing my drawings transformed into precise, beautiful FPP blocks was incredibly inspiring. These patterns are such a fun way to add detail and creativity to your projects, and they pair perfectly with the fabrics to create something truly unique.

I also had so much fun making the Scrappy Starlight pattern by Colt and Lamb Quilt Co. for this collection. This pattern is quick, playful, and perfect for letting the Gulf Breeze fabrics truly shine. The scrappy design adds movement and interest while still keeping things simple and approachable—making it a great project for all skill levels.

Even better, you can grab this pattern for free on Colt and Lamb’s website, making it an easy and inspiring project to jump into right away.

I created Gulf Breeze with the intention of using it right here in my home. These are the colors of our coastal farmhouse, and bringing them into my space has been such a joy. One of my favorite projects from the collection is a set of the cutest pillow covers for our couch.

For this project, I used my Cricut to cut out the hexies and paired it with the Hexie pattern from White Rose Designs. This pattern makes it so easy to sew hexies on your sewing machine—no need to hand stitch each one—which means you get all the charm of hexies with a much quicker, more approachable process.

These pillows were also so much fun to make. White Rose Designs offers a Block of the Month series, and the blocks are the perfect size for turning into pillows—making them a quick and satisfying project.
I especially love the Summer Blooms pillow, featuring a fussy-cut flamingo right in the center. It’s such a sweet way to highlight one of my favorite prints from the Gulf Breeze collection and add a playful, personal touch to my home.

Have you ever made your own shoes? This project has been on my bucket list for ages, and I finally went for it! It definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone, but it was such a fun and rewarding experience.
I used the Patchwork Kicks kit, which comes with everything you need to complete the project—minus the fabric. They are such a fun make and wearable way to showcase the collection.

I also made the cutest tote using the Meander Tote pattern by Mae Just Sew, and it was such a fun project to put together. This beginner-friendly pattern is a great way to showcase your favorite Gulf Breeze fabrics while also putting your scraps to good use.
It’s a practical, everyday bag with just the right amount of personality, and I love how the mix of prints brings the whole look together.
To give it a little extra detail, I added the Coastal Jasmine ribbons from my Renaissance Ribbons collection to the straps. It’s the perfect finishing touch that ties everything together and adds just the right hint of coastal charm.

We spend so many summer days soaking up the sun on our beautiful beaches, and it’s always nice to have a fun game or two for a little downtime from the waves and water. I made this travel checkerboard from Abby Maed’s new book, Cozy Quilts for the Modern Home, and it was the perfect project to bring along on our beach days.
Since we love collecting shells during our adventures, I used some of the mini shells we’ve gathered as the game pieces, which made it feel even more special and personal. It makes such a great grab-and-go activity for beach days, road trips, or quiet moments at home.

With all of the scraps I had left over, I created a cute little pouch—because nothing goes to waste around here! It was such a fun way to mix prints and make use of even the smallest pieces from the collection.
And since you can never have too many pouches for travel, I also made the Nightingale Zipper Case from Center Street Quilts. I added the Turtle Bay ribbon to the straps for an extra special detail, and I absolutely love how it turned out.

To complete the Gulf Breeze story, I also designed coordinating ribbons with Renaissance Ribbons. These beautiful trims echo the colors and motifs of the collection and are perfect for adding a special finishing touch to quilts, garments, bags, and small projects.

One of my favorite parts of releasing a new collection is seeing how others interpret it. Watching these fabrics come to life through your quilts and projects is truly the most rewarding part of what I do.
If you create something with Gulf Breeze, I would absolutely love to see it. Sharing your work not only inspires others, but it helps tell the story of this collection in a way that continues to grow beyond me.
If you share your project, be sure to use the hashtag #AGFGulfBreeze so we can all find and celebrate your beautiful creations.
Gulf Breeze is beginning to arrive in quilt shops, and I’m so excited for you to see it in person. If you’re hoping to get your hands on it, be sure to check with your favorite local quilt shop or ask them to carry it.
Thank you for being here and for being part of this journey with me. It means more than I can put into words.
With love,
