My debut Art Gallery Fabrics collection, Land of Enchantment, is now available in shops, and the Lookbook is live online, filled with inspiration! In this post, I’ll be showcasing the projects I’ve created with the collection, but don’t miss out on exploring the full Lookbook for even more creative ideas—check it out HERE.
From the moment I dreamed up this collection I knew I wanted to create a balloon quilt to go along with this fun collection.
Fiesta in the Sky is a joyful tribute to the breathtaking Albuquerque skies during the Balloon Fiesta, a family tradition we absolutely love! This design bursts with the magic of hot air balloons soaring high, bringing the enchantment of this special event into every stitch.
The quilt is offered in a large throw size, perfect for snuggling on the couch.
If you’ve ever been to the Balloon Fiesta, you’ve seen the sky filled with hundreds of balloons—it’s truly a magical sight. I wanted to capture that feeling in the quilting, and I found the perfect pantograph called “Hot Air Balloons” from The Pantoshop. I love how it creates the effect of hundreds of balloons floating in the background.
While searching for fun projects to create alongside the quilt, I came across these adorable fabric hot air balloons on Etsy by Jo Handmade Designs.
These hot air balloons were such a fun project to make! I made a few adjustments to the construction, but overall, they were pretty easy to put together. While the instructions suggest stuffing the stars and raindrop, I opted to only stuff the clouds.
I love how these charming little balloons highlight each print in the collection. They’d be perfect as a mobile in a baby nursery or as a shop decoration. How would you use them?
My final makes for the lookbook were the cutest baby outfits for a dear friend’s new baby girl. This year would be her first time attending the Balloon Fiesta, and her mama wanted her dressed to the nines.
The first outfit is an adorable dress from Sunflower Seams Pattern Co. I used the Baby Daphne dress pattern, which features an elastic back for easy dressing, a unique V-shaped bodice, and sweet puff sleeves. To add a special touch, I hand-embroidered a balloon to match the balloons in the Beyond the Clouds print. The embroidery pattern, called Balloon Flower, is also available at Sunflower Seams.
Next, I used the Baby Briar pattern to create an adorable baby bubble featuring the Yucca Blossom print. The Baby Briar is a charming babydoll design with beautiful cuffed puff sleeves.
