Meet the Sandia Sunset Quilt Pattern Testers

With every new quilt pattern, my Tester Team of talented makers brings the design to life in ways that always amaze me. Sandia Sunset is no exception! Each tester has selected their own fabric combinations, using beautiful Art Gallery Fabrics, to create stunning variations of this pattern. The result? A breathtaking gallery of quilts that make pattern launch day feel like a virtual quilt show!

Below, you’ll find a showcase of each tester’s Sandia Sunset quilt, along with links to their pages so you can learn more about them and see what they’re creating in the quilting community.

Kate Bierle
Kate made a stunning baby-size Sandia Sunset using a gorgeous green color palette with Art Gallery Fabrics from Sharon Holland, Maureen Cracknell, and Katarina Roccella. The longarming was done by Kate herself, and I think it's perfect for this design—so much movement! Find more of Kate's work on instagram HERE

Melissa David
Melissa made a gorgeous baby-size Sandia Sunset using Art Gallery Fabric scraps that paired beautifully with my Land of Enchantment collection. The mix of colors and prints created a vibrant yet cohesive look. Find more of her work on instagram HERE.

Jayme Searle
Can you even believe this was Jayme’s first time making a FPP quilt? I never would have believed it if she hadn’t mentioned it! She created a stunning throw-size Sandia Sunset quilt, and it looks absolutely flawless. Her color choices and precise piecing make this quilt a true showstopper! Carol Bright
Carol always uses such fun and bright fabrics for her quilts, and this Sandia Sunset is no exception. I love how she used a combination of Art Gallery Fabrics Flower Fields by Maureen Cracknell and Pure Solids to really make this design pop. She made a few small modifications to her sample by putting the sashing around the blocks instead of in between, and I love how it turned out! Find more of their work HERE

Natalie Stone
Another beautiful sample made by Natalie! She chose the baby size, and I love her colors so much! The black in the center of the design really makes the other fabrics stand out. If you aren’t already, I suggest following Natalie on Instagram to see more of her beautiful work. Find her on Instagram HERE.

Kim Ramsey
Wow, don’t you love the colors Kim used in her baby-size Sandia Sunset quilt? The orange and blue together are absolutely stunning! The contrast between the warm and cool tones gives this quilt such a vibrant and dynamic feel. Kim’s version is a perfect example of how color choices can completely transform a design.
