Top 10 Quilt Patterns Featuring Land of Enchantment

I don’t think I’ll ever get over the magic of seeing my Land of Enchantment fabric collection come to life in quilts. Inspired by the colors, textures, and wide-open beauty of New Mexico, each design carries its own little story.

I thought it would be fun to share the top 10 quilt patterns that pair beautifully with this collection. Whether you’re drawn to bold geometry, dreamy skies, or timeless charm, there’s something here that will make you want to pull out your rotary cutter and dive right in.

1. Turquoise Trails

This quilt was directly inspired by Sunday drives down the historic Turquoise Trail. The pattern captures the winding roads, hidden treasures, and sparkling stones that make this route unforgettable. This quilt pattern feels alive with movement, just like the ever-changing scenery you take in on the drive.

2. Sandia Sunset

Oh, those breathtaking New Mexico sunsets! This quilt pattern draws inspiration from the glowing sunsets over the Sandia Mountains, while honoring the Zia symbol of New Mexico’s state flag. Designed with beginners in mind, Sandia Sunset is an easy-to-follow foundation paper piecing pattern.

3. Woolen

The Woolen Quilt is a medallion-style design inspired by cozy woven wool blankets and the rugged beauty and colors of the high desert region of the Pacific Northwest. This striking ombré design moves from the rich browns of the mountains to the blues of the many beautiful lakes, rivers and waterfalls. Created for the Land of Enchantment lookbook, Abby’s version is simply stunning and a perfect fit. I especially love how this pattern lets the fabrics take center stage.

4. Prickly Pear Jam

Prickly Pear Jam is a modern Southwest take on the classic bear paw block. It brings timeless charm with a fresh, updated twist. Whether you're a confident beginner or a seasoned quilter, this pattern offers a satisfying balance of structure and creativity. How fun is this quilt, designed and made by Delia of A Stitch is a Stitch? She captured the Southwest flair perfectly in her version.

5. Sun Still

The beautiful Sun Still pattern is inspired by that magical time of day when the sky is painted in colors. When Ann of Crafty Moose Quilts released this pattern I knew it would be perfect for my Land of Enchantment collection.

6. Storybook Charm

The Storybook Charm quilt pattern, designed by Heart Lake Quilts; has a softer, whimsical feel, perfect for showing off the storytelling side of this collection. Delia of A Stitch is a Stitch paired some of my favorite prints from the collection with Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Solids to create a version that completely took my breath away the first time I saw it.

7. Fiesta in the Sky

Fiesta in the Sky is a joyful tribute to the breathtaking Albuquerque skies during the Balloon Fiesta, a family tradition we absolutely love! This design bursts with the magic of hot air balloons soaring high, bringing the enchantment of this special event into every stitch.

8. Starry Braids

Starry Braids, designed by A Stitch is a Stitch, feels like sleeping under the New Mexico star filled skies. Perfect for beginners and such a simplistic but stunning pattern. I love Delia's fabrics choices and how this patterns allows each to shine.

9. Snow Glow

Yes, it does snow in New Mexico, and this quilt pattern captures the wonder of it all. With soft whites, and the use of my Desert Sprouts print, Snow Glow designed by Abby Maed, glistens in Land of Enchantment. It’s like capturing the hush of a snowy morning in fabric. This heirloom quality design features a modern nostalgic aesthetic that is sure to be treasured for years to come. The pattern is written at a beginner friendly level and it's constructed with efficiency in mind.

Each of these patterns brings something unique to the table, but together, they tell the story of Land of Enchantment. I can’t wait to see which one speaks to you the most. Will you take the winding Turquoise Trails, chase a Sandia Sunset, or maybe float away with Fiesta in the Sky?
