Meet the Turquoise Trail Quilt Pattern Testers

Meet the Turquoise Trail Quilt Pattern Testers

I had the privilege of working with an incredible group of testers, each creating a stunning version of the Turquoise Trail quilts. I’m thrilled to showcase their beautiful creations with you all! You can find each maker’s Instagram account tagged in their respective photo below. Please take a moment to visit their pages and show them some love!

The Turquoise Trail pattern is officially available now! You can purchase a PDF or printed copy of the pattern right HERE!

Abby of AbbyMaed I'm Abby and I share the middle name Mae with my Grama who taught me to sew starting as a child. I am a third generation quilter (my mom quilts too!) and have been quilting and sewing as long as I can remember.  I am Wisconsin born and bred and live there with my husband and four kiddos. My drivers are my faith and my family and when I'm not sewing, I enjoy photography, painting, hiking and travel.
Brie of Willow Grove Goods - I've been making quilts for about 7 years now and love testing quilts because I have a chance to meet amazing quilters and try fun, new patterns! Playing with fabric and trying to think of complimentary color combos is a favorite past time, hoping to start selling fabrics before too long, so keep your eyes out!
Carol of CarolSmilesQuilts - I have been sewing since childhood with the influence of my mom making our special occasion dresses and my grandmother who loved sending quilts as gifts. Quilts are my passion but I also love a patchwork quilted coat recently. Putting together the color palette for a quilt design is one of my favorite parts of the quilting process.
Delia of A Stitch is a Stitch Quilt Co. - I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico and I have been quilting for 7 years. This year, I started my business in quilt pattern design and technical editing. One of my favorite parts of being a quilter is pattern testing. It's so exciting to be a part of new quilt designs and to help bring those designs to life with my own influence of color & fabric. I'm also so grateful for the many incredible quilters and friends I've gotten to know through pattern testing. When I'm not quilting, I enjoy reading, spending time with family, and riffing bad movies with my husband.
Emily of EKquilting - I am a Coast Guard Veteran and Air Force wife. I started sewing during the pandemic, and became a long arm quilter at my LQS. I have a 4 month old daughter and a cat named Kona.
Jayme of SearleMade - used the beautiful Bedtimes stories collection from Art Gallery Fabrics for her stunning throw version.
Jenna of GatorGal417 Hey! My name is Jenna. I’m a neuro PT, just turned SAHM, that loves all things sewing and embroidery! I’ve been sewing off and on as long as I can remember, but really got back into it consistently about 8 years ago. I mostly sew for my 3 kids; Silas, Isla, and Olive.
Jesse of ImperfectQuilting - I’m a nurse and spend all my off time sewing as an outlet. I live in western Canada with all my pets and love travelling, hiking and biking.
Julie of JulieSewHappy - Born and raised in Texas. Wife to one, mom to 3, mom-in-law to 2, and the best role: Mimi to 4 and hoping for more! I grew up surrounded by quilts made by my great grandmother, great aunts and grandmother. We never had store bought blankets. I love surprise gifting quilts I make.
Kate of DueNorthHandmade - Hi! I’m Kate! I am a former chemical engineer turned quilter and designer. Originally from Nebraska, I now live in Southeastern Minnesota with my family and our dogs. When I am outside my studio, I enjoy playing games with my family, running, and exploring with my taste buds. I’ve found that quilting and designing is the perfect balance between art and logic, which appeals to me as both an engineer and maker.

Kim of Cherry City Quilts - I live in Salem, Oregon and am a mom to 2 young boys. I started quilting 20 years ago but during the pandemic I rediscovered my love for it and over the past few years I have enjoyed the opportunity to pattern test and connect with others who share the same love of quilting. 😀

Kirsten of Between Two Lakes Quilting - I am a middle years teacher in Southern Manitoba, Canada, I have two little kiddos. I enjoy all kinds of crafting, but spent most of my time sewing. I’ve sewn since I was a little girl, but picked up quilting about 5 years ago. My favourite part of quilting is cutting off the excess after quilting on my domestic machine, because it means I am so close to the finish line!

Maelynn of Mae Just Sew - I’m Maelynn, my friends call me Mae! I live in the Pacific Northwest and am a fellow quilt pattern designer. When I’m not quilting, you can find me out with my family on an adventure or we may be curled up around the fireplace, reading aloud on a rainy night.

Mary of EmberCraftCompanyMary Burroughs-Mayer is the maker and designer behind @embercraftcompany. She is the mama of 4 year-old twins and has been quilting since they were about 3 months old. Quilting and sewing has become her creative outlet and she tries to sneak in a few hours of sewing every day!

Melissa of Quilting Above the Clouds - I am a retired IT professional / Global Asset Manager from an international chemical company. I have been sewing since the age of 9 and I started quilting 20 years ago. My husband and split our time between the Texas Hill Country and the Colorado mountains. I have quilting studios in both homes but my long arm stays in Texas. When I’m not quilting, my husband and I enjoy spending time with our 3 grand daughters, entertaining guests, hiking and jeeping. We have been volunteering for Guide Dogs for the Blind for 14 years in Texas and in Colorado, raising and training service dogs for the visual impaired. Thus, you can usually find a few well loved dog hairs on my quilts! lol

Natalie of StoneSimpleCreativeDog mom to three beasts, Natalie spends her days working as a school counselor and her nights trying to keep the dog hair off her quilting projects. Natalie and her wife call the inland northwest home, spending as much time outdoors as the weather allows.

Victoria of MidlifeQuilter - Victoria is the quilter behind Midlife Quilter. She began sewing and quilting at the age of 40 and never looked back. She now designs patterns and sells fabric in her online shop.  Victoria loves pretty floral fabrics and vintage-inspired quilt designs with a modern twist. You can follow her and her quilt cat, Agnes, on Instagram @midlife_quilter
