Welcome to Week 3 of the Paradise Breeze Quilt Along!
Can you believe we’re already halfway through?
Last week was all about sewing our Nine Patch blocks, and this week we get to do one of my favorite parts of making a quilt...watching all those individual pieces finally come together into a quilt top!
If you’re a little behind, don’t worry. Keep working at your own pace. There’s no need to rush to keep up with us!

WEEK 3 — TOP ASSEMBLY
This week, we’re assembling our Paradise Breeze quilt tops.
There’s something so satisfying about laying out all of your finished blocks and finally seeing the design you’ve been working toward.
Before you start sewing rows together, give yourself plenty of room to lay everything out. A design wall is wonderful if you have one, but your floor works just as well!
Follow the quilt assembly diagram in your Paradise Breeze pattern and arrange your blocks before sewing anything together.
A Few Tips for Quilt Top Assembly
Take a photo of your layout.
Once you have everything exactly where you want it, snap a quick photo with your phone. You’ll have an easy reference as you begin moving blocks from your design wall or floor to your sewing machine.
Work one row at a time.
Keeping your blocks organized by row makes it much easier to maintain the correct layout. I like to stack each row in order before heading to my sewing machine.
Pin where it matters.
Take a little extra time when matching your seams. Nesting seams and adding a pin at those intersections can make a big difference in how nicely everything lines up.
Don’t skip the final press.
Once your quilt top is assembled, give the entire top a good press. Seeing that finished, freshly pressed quilt top is one of the best parts!
And just like that—you have a Paradise Breeze quilt top!
